Services
RAVE provides the following services for domestic and sexual violence victims and their families:
Twenty-Four Hour Crisis Hotline
The availability of trained staff by telephone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to
provide crisis counseling, guidance, emotional support, information and referrals.
Housing Programs
Safe house for Emergency Shelter
Offers short-term and long-term housing and related supportive services to domestic and
sexual violence victims and their dependant children in crisis.
Transitional Supportive Housing
Supportive housing coupled with supportive services as needed to assist domestic and sexual violence
survivors and their dependent children.
Crisis Intervention
Assisting clients in crisis with support, advocacy, emergency housing assistance,
information, and referrals.
Individual Counseling
Counselor/advocate assist clients one-on-one in resolving problems stemming from issues related to
domestic and sexual violence, may include crisis intervention/counseling, support, information and referrals.
Children's Counseling
Counselor/advocate assist minor clients one-on-one in resolving
problems stemming from issues related to domestic and sexual violence, may
include crisis intervention/counseling, support, information and referrals.
Group Counseling
Counseling in a group setting, including informal groups such as domestic violence support
groups, children's support groups, and conflict resolution; focusing on dynamics
of domestic and sexual violence.
Information and Referrals
Provide clients with information about or phone numbers to agencies and services. Also,
provide clients with written information about domestic and/or sexual violence or other pertinent
issues.
Housing Assistance
Assist clients with information and referrals regarding housing, accompany clients in
searching for housing, and may assist client in moving and/or finding furnishings.
Personal Protection Order Assistance
Provide support and assistance to clients completing/filing a Personal Protection Order
(PPO).
Personal Advocacy
Assist clients in securing rights, remedies, and services from other agencies, intervening with
other agencies/systems to ensure sensitive and effective responses, policies and procedures relative to
domestic and sexual violence.
Legal Advocacy
Counselor/advocate providing support, assistance, advocacy, and court accompaniment for clients in need.
Transportation
Providing transportation for clients, may include transportation to and from doctors appointment, etc.
