Community support is vital to our organization. RAVE depends on monetary and in-kind donations as well as volunteers who donate their time to sustain our programs.

Monetary Giving

Contributions to RAVE are tax-deductible (consult your tax professional) and acknowledged with a receipt to the donor.

On-Line Giving

Donors may also purchase resource materials for RAVE at www.amazon.com. Under the Browse Section there is a Gifts and Lists section. Click on Wish List tab, and under Find a Wish List, type in RAVE. RAVE location St. Johns, MI should appear. If you click on this link it will take you to our Wish List. Any items purchased in this section will be sent directly to RAVE.

When RAVE receives items from Amazon, we will send the donor a receipt for their contribution.

This type of donation is tax-deductible as with all other donations. Please see your tax advisor for full details.

In-Kind Giving

Our In-Kind donations often include: Household Items, Personal Care Items,

Non-Perishable Food Items, and Gift Cards.

RAVE also collects used cell phones. Some of the used phones are given to clients for emergency use and the others are sent to an organization which recycles the parts and sends us a check in return. If you have purchased a new cell phone, please consider donating your old one for this worthy cause.

If you would like to donate women’s and children’s used clothing, please call Seventh Day Adventist Church at (989) 224-7779 or St. Vincent De Paul at

(989) 224-8852. In turn, RAVE gives clients vouchers for no-cost clothing at these organizations.

Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to RAVE. During the 2006/2007 Fiscal Year, volunteers provided 2,599 hours of support to RAVE.

There are many ways volunteers can help: board member, advocate, child activities, transportation, filing and office support, fundraising and community awareness. The success RAVE has been able to achieve would not be possible without individuals who give so generously to our organization.
