Getting Help

How do I enter the shelter?

Call RAVE's crisis line at (877) 952-7283. A trained RAVE advocate will ask you a series of questions regarding your current situation and pending the outcome of the intake will invite you into our shelter or refer you to other services RAVE provides.

All calls are completely confidential.

How much do I pay?

All services RAVE provides are free of charge.

Can I bring my children?

Yes. Your children are welcome to come with you.

How do I get a Personal Protection Order (PPO)?

Call RAVE's St. Johns office at (989) 224-4662 or Owosso office at (989) 723-9716.

A PPO can also be obtained in any courthouse in the State of Michigan. You do not need to reside in the county in which you apply.

PPO Assistance is also available through your local domestic violence and sexual assault provider or thru the Michigan Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCADSV) located at 3893 Okemos Road, Suite B-2, Okemos, MI 48864, whose phone number is (517)347-7000.

There is no fee for filing a PPO, however fees may be associated with serving the PPO, please check with your local courthouse or domestic violence and sexual assault provider for more information.

The PPO is valid in all 50 states.
